Once a year, The Storylines Project—in
collaboration with the New York Public
Library’s free city-wide literacy program—
sponsors an event that brings Young Adult
authors together with Adult Literacy and
ESL student writers. The project celebrates
students, honors some of the best American
fiction, and offers an evening of literature,
community, and fellowship. It unites readers
and writers, library students and teachers, literacy
and that most powerful creature: Story.
